Aonang Villa Resort, Krabi will renovate during May 12, 2008 – November 12, 2008 that are all Standard rooms and Cholatee meeting room. Therefore, it affects on all mentioned and including The Villa Spa, for the other room type and facilities are open as usual.

As part of their efforts to continually improve the services at Evason Phuket; the Into the Beach restaurant will be closed whilst extensive renovations are carried out.

 

It is expected that the project will take around 8 weeks and the restaurant will re-open early April 2008. In the meantime new options have been introduced for dinner around the resort including:

Chin House Luxurious Residence is already changed that name to be Bandara Suite Silom, Bangkok, effective from now onward. Anyway, there is another change about name of room type, please kindly find the updated one as following:

The Tongsai Bay, Koh Samui The closing of the hotel for the renovation of the Beachfront Suite during Oct 06t – Nov 05, 08 and the closing of Beachfront Suites from Oct 06 – Dec 15, 08


Throughout the past few years they have strived to improve their product, particularly the hardware and this year will be the last phase of renovations of such nature. They started with The Grand Villas and most public area and the Butler's restaurant. The Cottage Suites are now ready to serve as their main accommodation type (41 Cottage suites) in 2008 while Beachfront Suites (24 units) await their turn end of 2008.


The schedule should be as follows:-

Oct 06, 08 – the hotel closes with last guests leaving before 6:00 PM.


Oct 06 – Nov 05, 08 - work commences on the Beachfront suite building where a lot of noise is to be expected hence the reason to close the hotel entirely. They will take the opportunity to repair the main free form swimming pool and Cottage Suite 225 (being right next to the Spa) and the McGuigan Cottage. Closing the hotel for 1 month will allow for smooth operation by the construction workers and perhaps some heavy machinery.

Nov 06, 08 - the hotel opens for business again with only the Cottage Suites and Tongsai Grand and Pool Villas available for accommodation while the work on Beachfront Suites continues with less noise and debris. The Beachfront Suites will still be fenced off from the pool and Beach area while it is expected to be half way to finish. The main pool will be open for guests use again albeit some noise from the Beachfront Suite building close by. Their half-moon pool is far away enough from the site and could provide an alternative for the guests wanting to use a swimming pool.


Nov 06 – Dec 15, 08 - work continues on the Beachfront Suite building to be finished by Dec15, 08.The Beachfront Suite will be bookable again from Dec 16, 2008 onwards.


After the renovation, the Beachfront Suite will feature a larger bathroom area at the expense of the second bathtub in the bathroom which is rarely utilized. There will be more space for two wash basins and a large shower area. The lighting in room and on the balcony will see a tremendous improvement. Corridors will also be repaved. On the ground floor where the bathtub inside is taken out there will be a window for better ventilation. The bedroom area will see additional decorations too.

Please be informed that during Nov 06 – Dec 10, 08 there will be daily shuttle bus 4 times a day into Chaweng or Bophut as well as daily cocktail party for all in - house guests. Room assignment will bear the distance from the Beachfront Suites in mind.
